Sometimes, babies come early. Plans change, and parents are thrown into a whirlwind of activity and information they were not prepared for. It is normal to feel overwhelmed. The NICU team will ask you about how you were planning to feed your baby and if breastfeeding was your plan we will recommend you start hand-expression and pumping right after delivery.
